Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation Inc

The Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization formed in 2006 that helps the local community provide an extraordinary education for Los Alamos students. Through generous community donations, we provide materials and resources for teachers, award grants for innovative ideas in the classroom, fund professional development, award scholarships and student grants, and help improve school facilities through classroom makeovers. We also support the schools through staff appreciation efforts. Our board of around twenty hardworking community volunteers includes two high school students. 

Our mission: We are committed to innovative and responsive support for the Los Alamos Public Schools. We connect our community and district, evaluate needs, and invest resources to enhance public education.  

Our vision: An exceptional public education for all LAPS students.
